Hello readers, this is yiwei.. This is my 185 post..


Well, i went to a 2-Day Kayaing Course for 1 star..

It is from 12 December- 13 December.


So was having fun and is tough!

We were taught by 2 intructors!

They are so kind..

So before going to kayak on flat water, we need to know the equipments,

the rules and how to paddle, capsize and some strokes.

Equipments

  • Kayak
  • Paddles
  • Flotation Aids

Also, we were taught how to lift,carry and launching a kayak...

For paddling, we LEARNED

  • Foward paddling
  • Backward paddling
  • Reverse paddling
  • Foward and reverse sweeps
  • And how to stop.

Steps to Capsize

  • Use the paddle to sense how deep the water is and to see whether got stones
  • We hug the boat and the paddle together
  • We shake a few times before capsize the boat
  • We must tap 3 times hull
  • Then we swim up at where the paddle is
  • Go to the back of the boat
  • Raise up the paddle and shout for help.

Strokes:

  • J-Stroke
  • Classic Draw
